Please read the following Terms of Service carefully before you agree to play Virtuwool and make sure to re-read them regularly in case of updates. By signing up for Virtuwool you agree that any violation of these terms of service on your part may result in your being banned from the site, or having your account restricted or suspended.

Virtuwool (“virtuwool.net”, also referred to as “the game” or “this game”) is a virtual sheep game site owned by me, Erin Richards (referred to hereafter as “I” or “myself”). All items in this game including money are pretend and do not exist and hold no monetary value in the real world.

Privacy: Your email address is collected by the game for verification reasons and will not be given to any third parties. It is highly recommended that you NEVER give your email address, real address, phone number, real name or any other personal information to anyone on this site. If you are found to be distributing personal information about yourself or any other player you will be banned.

You must be at least 13 years old to join Virtuwool.

I accept no responsibility for the content that may be posted by people who play the game. Anyone who is found to be posting inappropriate content will be immediately banned from the game and the content removed. If you find inappropriate content, report it to the administrator.

I reserve the right to restrict your access to the game or shut down the game entirely for any length of time and for any reason. I will not reimburse players in any way if the site is unavailable for any length of time. I also reserve the right to make any changes to the game without notice or reason.

By agreeing to these terms you acknowledge that if you give out your password or account name and your account is affected as a result, I will not be held responsible. Virtuwool staff will Never EVER ask for your login information. It is the responsibility of each person to keep his or her account information secret and not give it out. You will not be reimbursed in any way if your account is logged into by someone other than yourself and negatively affected.

You agree that if you are found to be exploiting errors (“bugs”) in the game you will be suspended or banned. If you have found an error, notify the administrator with as much detail as possible about what you were doing and where in the site you were at the time. If you find another player attempting to cheat or scam other players, report them. Players will not be banned without evidence, so if you are found to be harassing or wrongly reporting someone, you may be suspended or banned.

Any users found to be harassing, threatening, spamming or insulting other players will be suspended or banned depending on the severity of the incident. If a player is being harassed or abused they can send a screenshot of any offending messages to the administrator and action will be taken.

Players are not allowed to post images or any other content that they do not own on the forums or any other part of the website. Any abusive, racist, sexist, pornographic, obscene, offensive, violent or graphic material will be immediately removed and the person responsible for posting it will be suspended or banned.

Offensive language is not allowed . Any players using offensive language will first be warned, then any further offenses will result in suspension or banning of the offender.

All images, text and code on this site belong to Virtuwool and must not be copied or redistributed in any way, shape or form. “Hotlinking” (linking directly to images on the site from sites other than Virtuwool) is strictly forbidden and any player found to be hotlinking will be suspended or banned. Players may post any images from Virtuwool only on the Virtuwool forums or in their description on their individual pages. However copying any Virtuwool images to any other website is not allowed.

Tokens, which are in-game credits bought for one Australian dollar apiece, hold no monetary value and cannot be sold. If any players are found to be trying to sell anything in Virtuwool for real money, they will be immediately suspended and possibly banned.

I will not return any money from token purchases under any circumstances. I reserve the right to end any “buy one get one free” promotion without warning, although I will always attempt to give some notice.

I reserve the right to make any changes to these terms of service at any time without reason. If you do not agree with these terms, do not sign up for the site. If you have already signed up for the site and no longer agree with these terms, stop using the site immediately.

You agree that if you violate these terms of service you will be punished by either warnings, suspension, or banning.


A few rules and some things you need to know before playing the game:

You must not buy and sell accounts for real or virtual money. Any player found to be doing so will be suspended or banned.

Trading Virtuwool tokens for Virtuwool coins is not allowed and any player found doing this will be suspended or banned. However you may buy tokens for another player if you wish.

Bumping threads in the forum is allowed, but please do not bump more than once a day or your thread may be locked or deleted.

Spam is not allowed. Spam is any unsolicited mail and includes advertising, repeating the same message, excessive bumping, reposting closed threads, attempting to change post topics or any unsolicited mail to other players. Virtuwool is a game, not a dating site. Any players found to be trying to meet other players or saying they are looking for a partner will be suspended or banned. Listen to the moderators and administrator. If you are told not to do something, don’t do it. Refusal to obey staff will result in suspension or banning.

The messaging system in the game is only for friendly communication or enquiries. It is not for asking to meet people, advertising your sheep, criticism, or questions already answered in the Help.

Read the Help and Forums BEFORE contacting the administrator. This game is not my job and I do not want to have to sort through hundreds of emails asking “how do I feed my sheep?” Unless your question is urgent, such as a problem with buying tokens, post it first in the forums. More often than not you will find that there is someone there who can help you.

If you do need to contact the administrator, please make an effort to write clearly and coherently. Don’t write in ALL CAPS, swearing, insulting or attempting to send advertisements. Use a spellcheck before you send an email as it is very difficult to read an email that says “I dun no wat 2 do, sumthins rong wif my sheep”. Be clear about your issue. Saying there is something wrong with your sheep is not enough. What exactly is the problem? Don’t say “Something about my sheep’s health is strange”. What’s strange about it? Is it too high? Too low? Not changing? Changing for no reason? I can’t help if I don’t know what the problem is.

Lastly, if you ever have a problem with another player on the game, report it. Staying quiet and hoping it will go away will not fix things. Don’t be afraid of telling the administrator if someone is preventing your experience here from being enjoyable.
